Natural Gas Standby Generators

Due to widespread power outages from Tropical Storm Isaias, we have received a high number of inquiries regarding standby generators, causing longer-than-normal wait times for appointments and estimates. Additionally, because of the active 2020 hurricane season, national equipment manufacturers are seeing a surge in standby generator sales and some equipment orders are experiencing longer delivery times.

In-home estimates are required to provide an accurate price for the purchase and installation of the standby generator. Every home is unique, and unfortunately, we cannot provide a price based on the make and model of the generator. Some factors affecting pricing include the size of the generator, correct placement for zoning approval and distance from your gas meter and electrical panel.

PLEASE NOTE: Standby generators are permanently installed and require approved permits from your municipality prior to installation. They cannot be purchased and installed on the same day.

In these days of highly unpredictable weather, you can lose power any time of year, leaving you without electricity for hours or longer. That could mean no heat, no AC and no lights for days. And what about your refrigerator and freezer? Uh-oh – unless you have a natural gas standby generator!

Generac generator

Natural gas standby generators go on if the power goes off – automatically. Unlike portable generators, standby generators monitor utility voltage in your home 24/7.

When your electricity is interrupted, the automatic transfer switch safely disconnects your utility line and transfers to your standby generator! Just like that, everything is running again until the utility service is restored.

Portable generators can be messy and frequently need refueling, often during the worst weather – rain, snow, strong winds and bitter cold!

Standby generators:

  • Run on your home’s existing natural gas supply.
  • Start automatically – even when nobody’s home.
  • Can power your home’s essential appliances.
  • Do not require messy refueling; no worrying about running out.
  • Are sized to fit your home and needs.

Day or night, whether you’re at home or away, ensure the power you need to run your home is there for you. For peace of mind and essential home protection, install a standby generator today!

PLEASE NOTE – Standby generators are permanently installed and require approved permits from your municipality prior to installation. They cannot be purchased and installed the same day.
