Solar Purchase Plan

Solar purchasing made simple!

As a homeowner you are always looking for ways to save. And since New Jersey has some of the highest electricity costs in the nation, solar is a great way to not only reduce your energy costs but make a positive impact on the environment.

The purchase and installation of a solar system is one of the most valuable improvements you can make to your home, especially when you factor in tax credits, Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) and net metering.1 Not only does maximizing the power of the sun make sense from an environmental perspective, it’s a wise financial strategy that will greatly reduce or eliminate your monthly electricity bills for years to come.

Choose NJRHS to design an intelligent, efficient customized solar system for your home. Whether it’s a roof-mounted or ground-mounted system, we will make the most of available space and sunlight so you get maximum benefits. Our enthusiastic team of experienced professionals will help you determine the best solar energy solution for your home and budget.

We offer a variety of payment options, including same-as-cash financing to qualified homeowners, to give you the financial flexibility of purchasing a solar system and get the power of the sun to work for you.

We’ll work with you to create the right plan for your needs. Additionally, state and federal governments as well as utilities are embracing the technology and offering financial incentives and rebates to help offset the cost of owning your own solar system.

Federal Tax Credit: Investment Tax Credit (ITC) allows individuals to deduct 30 percent of the cost of a solar system from individual federal income taxes.1

Property Tax Exemptions: Under current New Jersey law, certified renewable energy systems are exempt from local property taxes. This means that the owner of a home that is equipped with a solar energy system may be exempted from the assessed valuation of the home a sum equal to the assessed valuation of the home with the solar energy system included, minus the assessed valuation of the home without the solar energy system included.1

Municipal and Utility Rebates: In addition to the federal and state incentives, many local municipalities and utilities offer incentives … please check out the Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency for details.1

Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs): Through New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program homeowners can benefit from SRECs, which stands for “Solar Renewable Energy Certificate,” a type of clean energy credit in the form of a tradable certificate. SRECs can be sold or traded separately from the power, thus providing solar system owners a source of revenue to help offset the cost of installation.

Sales-tax exemptions – materials and installation fees are not taxed.1

All programs are subject to change without notice.
